Once Again, FVN Involved With Surrey Cares – Community Grants Gala Thursday November 19 (VIDEO)

Surrey, BC – Once again FVN Fraser Valley News Sports and Entertainment will be involved with Surrey Cares and the gala to distribute grant monies to groups, organizations and individuals that make a difference in BC’s second largest city (of almost 600,000).

FVN Managing Editor and News Director Don Lehn will MC the ceremony at Surrey’s Arts Centre on Thursday November 19th.

From the Surrey Cares Community Foundation website:

The SurreyCares Community Foundation wants to see Surrey flourish. We believe that the quality of a city is determined by its residents. We engaged in a Vital Signs Survey that asked Surrey residents to grade their city on topics including crime, health, transportation, youth, education and poverty. With strong credible information and the experience of Surrey residents, we established a plan to improve Surrey’s quality of life.

We support and encourage services, projects, and events that sustain three criteria:

  • It must benefit Surrey residents.
  • It must rely on community involvement.
  • It must impact Surrey for generations.
