Abbotsford’s Community Clean-Up Month Beautifies Neighbourhoods

Abbotsford – This year, the City of Abbotsford’s Community Clean-up Week is expanding to include the whole month of April.  This expanded timeframe will allow for more opportunities to give back to the community from physically-distanced distanced supply pick-ups to more days for residents to plan their clean-up activities!

This initiative is a great way for anyone in the community to safely get involved in volunteering, contribute to environmental stewardship, encourage social responsibility, help beautify our neighbourhoods and to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd.

Abbotsford residents are encouraged to pick litter up around their workplace, school, parks, trails and streets between April 1 – 30th, 2021. Register today to access free clean-up supplies to support your volunteer efforts.

This initiative also provides teachers with a great way to link to the Ministry of Education’s, Prescribed Learning Outcomes, for a practical and hands-on learning opportunities for students.

How to get involved:

  1. Register at www.abbotsford.ca/volunteerapplication or contact us at [email protected]
  2. Review the safety guidelines with our Volunteer Coordinator and arrange a time to pick up supplies.
