ALS does not stop and neither can we. The need for your support is more vital and urgent than ever. We hope you will help if you are able.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a fatal and rapidly progressive neuromuscular disease, which robs a person of their ability to speak, walk, eat or breathe – trapping an active mind in a deteriorating, immobilized body. There is no known cause or cure for ALS, yet.  At any given time, over 400 British Columbians are living with ALS; over 3,000 in Canada.

The ALS Society of British Columbia is dedicated to providing direct support to ALS patients, along with their families and caregivers, to ensure the best life possible while living with ALS. Through supporting research, we are dedicated to finding the cause of, and cure for ALS.
