So here goes … Don’t Flush Wipes Down The Toilet, No Matter What The Package Says!
Abbotsford Mayor Henry Bruan had to take to social media to put out the call.

⚠️DO NOT FLUSH WIPES⚠️ down the toilet, at home or in public restrooms — even wipes claiming to be “flushable” on the label.
Clorox, Lysol, Pampers, and others make pre-moistened and sometimes-disinfectant wipes that offer convenience but they can and do clog lines and cost the City of Abbotsford – City Hall many $$$ in damage to pump stations and repairs to obstructed mains. The City has already received reports about clogged lines from commercial landlords.
❗️HERE’S WHAT YOU DO WITH THE WIPES❗️
Put disinfectant wipes, baby wipes, and paper towels into garbage bags,
tie the bags securely, then put out the bags with regular garbage.
Please, 🛑 stop flushing wipes and paper towels.
