CityStudio Students Present Solutions To Civic Challenges At Abbotsford City Hall

Abbotsford Students participating in CityStudio Abbotsford showcased their projects to Council, City staff at and representatives from University of the Fraser Valley at City Hall on Thursday.

CityStudio is a partnership program between the City of Abbotsford and the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) in which university students tackle civic issues and prototype solutions as part of their university degree program curriculum.

4 UFV course programs and 3 Rick Hansen Senior Secondary classes participated in CityStudio Abbotsford between September and December 2019.

The top UFV project was from BIO 410- Plant Ecology: Japanese Knotweed at Douglas Taylor Park: Investigation of Soil Composition and the top Rick Hansen Secondary project was from Careers 10: Diversity and Inclusion in Abbotsford: Multi-Lingual Friendly Transit.
