Grand Opening of the Fraser Valley Spoke Office, Pacific Autism Family Network – Tuesday December 3

Chilliwack – Families with members that have Autism have mentioned to FVN, that they were pleasantly surprised that the Fraser Valley Spoke Office of the Pacific Autism Family Network was opening in Downtown Chilliwack.

Located in the old Work BC office on Yale Road, next to the Chilliwack Business Centre, the Grand Opening is by pre-registration only – Tuesday December 3.

The Grand Open House will be from 10 AM to 2PM and is hosted by the Saccomaniacs Agriculture for Autism Tournament.

The Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN) is a network of supports for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families across the province. The network aims to ensure that all British Columbians have access to state-of-the-art resources for assessment, treatment, education, support and research, providing a “one-stop-shop” for families looking for help in their navigation of available information and services.

The PAFN Spoke centre will have full access to the expertise and information services offered at the hub. The PAFN is the first organization of its kind dedicated to knowledge creation and knowledge translation,targeting applied models that can easily be shared and disseminated to families.

Steve Saccomano, Founder of the annual Saccomaniacs Agriculture for Autism Charity Golf Tournament, has played an important role in the development of the Fraser Valley PAFN Spoke. The tournament is in its 11thyear,and since 2014 all funds raised through the tournament have been earmarked for the Fraser Valley PAFN Spoke
