Chilliwack’s heritage resources reflect our city’s history and help to tell the story of our past. Our heritage homes and buildings are among the most tangible remnants of early settlement and development. Many of these character-filled homes are of solid construction, contain unique architectural details and contribute significantly to the urban flavour and the essence of our city.
“I am excited to see the positive changes that our local government is making to manage Chilliwack’s heritage assets. By acknowledging and understanding our past we can make appropriate decisions and find creative solutions while moving into the future,” notes Laura Reid, president of Heritage Chilliwack Society.
Heritage Chilliwack Society is a volunteer run, community based initiative established to engage, advocate for and promote Chilliwack’s heritage.
