MCC Buckets of Thanks Campaign, October 7th – 14th

Fraser Valley – If you’re looking for a unique way to give back this Thanksgiving, then look no further! Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is launching its ‘Buckets of Thanks’ campaign nationwide from October 7th – 14th, just in time to celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving.

The campaign aims to provide families around the globe, disrupted by war and disaster, with basic hygiene supplies, bringing them much needed relief in their hour of need.

Building Buckets of Thanks is a fantastic activity to bond over with your family and friends, while giving back. If you decide to build a bucket by yourself or as a group, begin by purchasing a 20-litre plastic bucket.

Fill it with enough hygiene supplies for a family of four and drop it off at any specified locations within BC.

In 2018, Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) shipped nearly 25,000 buckets to families within Canada and across the globe, working closely with local partners to choose relief items that will be most beneficial to their communities.

Vladimir Kozlov distributes material resources such as MCC-supplied comforters, canned meat, relief kits and school kits at a distribution through MCC partner New Life Fund in Nikopol, Ukraine.
