Three Hurt As Farm Workers’ Bus Hits The Ditch In Abbotsford

Abbotsford – In March of 2007, three women were killed when the overloaded van they were in, rolled over on Highway 1 near the Sumas exit.

Since then, every time there is a crash involving farm workers, those memories come back.

Early Saturday morning around 8:30AM, Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to Ross Road and 58th Avenue for a single vehicle collision involving a farm worker transportation bus that left the roadway and hit the ditch.

At the time, there were 36 employees on board and all were able to exit the bus.  Three adults were taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Abbotsford Police officers, CVSE and WorkSafe BC remain on scene to investigate this incident.
