Suspicious 3rd Avenue Fire In Chilliwack- Two People And The Family Dog Are Safe

Chilliwack – Early Saturday morning (August 17 @6:15am), Chilliwack Fire responded to a structure fire in the 46000 block of 3rdAvenue.

Fire crews from Halls 1, 4, 5and 6responded to the scene and upon arrival discovered heavy smoke and flames showing from a two-storey home and a shed on the adjacent property.

Fire crews prevented the fire from spreading to homes immediately adjacent to the burning structure. The home did suffer extensive fire damage to the upper floor and roof, while the ground floor of the home suffered some water and smoke damage.

No one was hurt and the two residents and the family dog are safe.

The Chilliwack Emergency Support Services (ESS) team was called out to the scene and is providing care to the displaced occupants.
