Chilliwack Fire – Arson Behind Cook Street Fire

Chilliwack – Early Friday morning (2AM, August 9) Chilliwack Fire was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire located in the 9000 block of Cook Street.

Firefighters responded from Halls 1,4, 5 and 6, and on arrival, reported a fully involved structure fire in a single story residential home.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and the blaze was called in by a neighbour. Due to fire conditions, fire fighters set up a defensive fire attack to bring the fire under control.The home suffered extensive damage.

No one was hurt. Chilliwack Fire and RCMP confirm that one vehicle was burned out and a gun safe is missing.
