Chilliwack Real Estate Market June Report – Larger Number Of Listings, Fewer Sales

Chilliwack (Kevin Schroeder, Select Real Estate) The Chilliwack real estate market for the month of June pointed to the start of summer. With a larger number of listings and fewer sales.

Total number of listings in June continued to increase to 1,495. This is the the highest level since September 2014.

]Total sales had been growing each month from January 2019, when we had a total of 98 (lowest since January 2009) to April where we saw 280. May and June have since dropped slightly to 272 in May and 263 in June.
This increase in listings and decrease in sales is all somewhat normal as we go into the summer months.

However, single family homes dropped from $616,500 in June 2018 to $590,000 in June 2019 and townhomes dropped from $443,000 in June 2018 to $414,000 in June 2019.
