Agassiz, Seabird Island, Chilliwack – The Seabird Island band issued a Drug Advisory. This coming on a Welfare Wednesday.
On their Facebook page, they noted : Street-available/counterfeit oxycodone tablets, a synthetic cannabinoid and fentanyl have been found in our area, community or surrounding communities. Use extreme caution if accessing oxycodone from anyone other than a pharmacy.
Around Noon On Thursday, as this was issued, the Chilliwack Alano Club received word from their counterparts in Vancouver that similar drugs may show up in Chlilliwack and other parts of the Fraser Valley.
For the better part of the day, sirens could be heard wailing through the streets of downtown Chilliwack increasing the concern of what may be a very long night for EMS crews.
