Abbotsford – It’s a crystal anniversary celebration as it’s time once again to recognize and honor the contributions of local artists and arts advocates with the presentation of the 15th annual Arty Awards. The first step of the process begins Monday June 24 as the Abbotsford Arts Council will be opening the nomination period.
Entries can be submitted by someone in the arts community, a friend, or by the artist or group themselves, and will be accepted from the 24th through August 9.
The Arty Awards will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2019 and are an initiative of the Abbotsford Arts Council to highlight and celebrate the achievements of local artists in the community.
Once again, awards will be presented in the categories of Performing Arts, Lifestyle, Media Arts, Youth Achievement, Literary Arts, Arts Advocate, Visual Arts, and Emerging Artist, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award.
