Fort Langley Jazz Fest Mentioning Program – Sunday July 28

Fort Langley – If you are an emerging young jazz artist that is influenced by jazz music then you’ll want to register for the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival Jazz Education Workshop taking place on Sunday, July 28 from 1 to 4pm at Chief Sepass Theatre.

The workshop will be led by Vancouver’s A-list of jazz musicians and educators including workshop moderator and Juno-nominated bassist Jodi Proznick, Christine Jensen, jazz saxophonist from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music, VSO jazz faculty members, Bill Coon, jazz guitar, Jesse Cahill, jazz drums & percussion and Kristian Alexandrov, jazz piano and from Langley Community Music School, Alisia Lyne, jazz vocals.

The workshop will include a round table panel discussion on the artistic and business side of “Life as a Professional Musician”, master class breakouts by instrument and an improvisation jam session.

All levels of jazz instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome. The workshop cost is $20 at the door and includes a festival t-shirt and refreshments.
