Chilliwack’s Reptile Room Fundraiser, Friday June 21

Chilliwack – The owner of the Reptile Room in Chilliwack is doing an event at the Jolly Miller Pub to help pay for the vet bills, for all the rescue animals they’ve recently taken in.

The fundraiser is Friday June 21 at the Jolly Miller, and the Facebook page is here.

The Reptile Room has been very busy lately, as several of the local reptile rescues have closed this year. Mission’s “The Reptile Guy” closed last year after cruelty allegations, which were later dismissed.

This has left a lot of reptiles without the help they need and deserve. The Reptile Room have taken on several cases over the past few months and the vet bills and critters needing help are growing fast.

Amber DeGans, the owner of the Reptile Room told FVN that on average, it cost $10,000 a month to operate. The Reptile Room is an education centre that has had to take in other animals as the two other reptile rescue operators in the Valley have closed.

Candace Marie Proulx with the Reptile Room told FVN:

We’re hoping all of us as a community can band together and try to lend a helping paw. Help us in our mission by attending a fun night out with amazing people and cool prizes.

Tickets available at The Reptile Room (8960 Young Rd, Chilliwack, British Columbia, V2P 4S1) or from our amazing staff. Any questions can be posted here, on the Facebook page or be answered over the phone at 604-402-2245.

The Reptile Room is also gearing up for their June Programs:
