Fraser Valley – On Monday afternoon, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement on the possibility for a little snow, especially in and around Hope.
Wet snow possible on Tuesday and Tuesday night. Wind northeast 40 to 60 km/h.
An approaching Pacific frontal system will spread precipitation over the Fraser Valley on Tuesday and Tuesday night. The cool airmass currently over the South Coast means that snow levels are low enough that precipitation may start as wet snow. Current indications are that snowfall accumulations of 2 to 4 cm can be expected near Hope Tuesday night, but minimal elsewhere.
Snow levels are forecast to rise Tuesday night or early Wednesday with rain continuing.
