Chilliwack RCMP Searching For Poppy Box Thieves (VIDEO)

Chilliwack – Chilliwack RCMP are investigating a number of reports of poppy donation boxes being stolen from local business. Four such thefts were reported during the first week of November, 2018.

Surveillance video and photos have been obtained from each of these thefts, and the RCMP are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying the persons responsible.

File 18-48043 occurred on November 4th in the 7500 block of Vedder Road. The person who took the poppy donation box is described as a male with medium complexion wearing orange or red rain poncho.

File 18-48200 occurred on November 6th in the 7300 block of Vedder Road. The person who took the poppy box is described as wearing a Green jacket and dark pants.

File 18-48236 occurred on November 6th in the 7600 block of Vedder Road. The person who took the poppy box is described as a white male, wearing a black jacket and a black hat. A still photo of the suspect is attached.

File 18-48256 occurred on November 6th in the 45600 block of Luckakuck Way. The person who took the poppy box is described as a white male, wearing a grey sweater, black pants, red hat and a dark coloured backpack. Of note is that the suspect in this incident pushed the clerk who tried to stop him from exiting the business.
