CEBL, FV Bandits Season Tickets Go On Sale – Thursday November 15 (Interview)

Abbotsford – Fans of professional basketball across Canada will have their first opportunity to purchase season tickets for the inaugural season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League when they go on sale 10AM Thursday, November 15  at www.ticketmaster.ca. Canada’s newest major sports brand tips off the 2019 regular season in May with teams in Edmonton, Hamilton, Guelph, Niagara (St. Catharines), Saskatchewan (Saskatoon), and Fraser Valley (Abbotsford).

The  CEBL is modelled after top international professional leagues, using FIBA (International Basketball Federation) rules, and player and referee standards set by Canada Basketball. A league created by Canadians for Canadians, CEBL rosters will be comprised of at least 70 percent Canadian players, many playing professionally in North America and overseas during the traditional basketball season. The league is operated primarily by Canadian executives from the NBA, NHL, CFL, NLL, and PGA Tour.

FVN’s Don Lehn spoke with Lee Genier- President and COO Western Operations of the CEBL and the Fraser Valley Bandits on the eve of season ticket sales, future promotions, his professional sports background (CFL, NLL, Olympics) prior to emarking on the FIBA style basketball that the CEBL will start playing next May.
