Chilliwack – Shop handmade creations, taste craft delights, and make merry memories with the 44th Annual Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market, returning this November 16 to 18. As the Chilliwack Community Arts Council’s largest fundraiser, this star of the holiday shopping season will continue its tradition of celebrating and supporting BC’s best artisans.
Transforming Chilliwack Heritage Park into a winter wonderland of shopping, visitors will enjoy wide, welcoming aisles filled with an abundance of handcrafted, juried creations from over 180 talented artists and craftspeople. With artisans representing a full range of specialties from: visual art, home décor, pottery, glass, metal and woodwork, jewellery, bath and body products, fibre art, craft food and spirits, and everything in between, shoppers will delight in rushing home with their treasures.
In addition to the endless gift-giving choices and taste bud delighting samples, the Chilliwack Floral Art Club will deck the halls with lush masterpieces. From holly and chrysanthemums to poinsettias and carnations, every botanical will be artistically arranged and on view for shoppers throughout the weekend. While Gatherings West Event Design and Décor will have shoppers rockin’ around the Christmas tree with their signature décor touches and fresh greenery generously provided by Minter Country Garden Ltd.
Giving back to the artists who call our cities home, shopping at the Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market is a way to celebrate the talent and imagination of artists, making it possible for them to continue creating and sharing their passion and expertise. As the Chilliwack Community Arts Council’s largest annual fundraising event, proceeds from the Market help to ensure the continuation of community events and arts initiatives as well as three annual art scholarships supporting the career development of local students.
