1st Ever Fraser Valley Comedy Festival – October 17-27 (VIDEO)

Fraser Valley -Get ready to snicker, chuckle, cackle and out right belly-laugh.

Fraser Valley Comedy is pleased to announce the inaugural Fraser Valley Comedy Festival, a collection of shows being presented in communities from Langley to Hope and taking place from October 17 through October 27.

From the intimate bar venues that regularly host Fraser Valley Comedy events, to the largest theatres in the region, the Festival’s mandate is to present the strongest lineup of comedic talent ever seen on Valley stages. Some of the country’s top stand-ups, acts coming in from Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and the cream of the Vancouver scene will share bills with the widest representation of the Valley’s best. Comics you’ve enjoyed on shows like Just For Laughs, Conan, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Last Comic Standing, and The Debaters will all be presented together, and all at affordable prices.

The festival’s stellar talent lineup includes Debra DiGiovanni (3-time winner as Best Female Stand-Up at the Canadian Comedy Awards, Last Comic Standing), Pete Zedlacher (Best Male Stand-Up, winner SiriusXM Canada’s Top Comic), Ivan Decker (Conan, 2018 Juno Award winner Best Comedy Album, upcoming Netflix special), Kristeen Von Hagen (2-time Best Female Stand-Up, Match Game), Graham Clark (HBO’s Funny As Hell, $25,000 winner Yuk Yuks Laff Off), Mayce Galoni (Halifax Comedy Festival, The Debaters), Sophie Buddle (Just For Laughs, Winnipeg Festival) and Toronto-based Abbotsford native Sunee Dhaliwal, a National headliner who’s coming home for the festival.

The Festival (which will be the second largest stand-up comedy festival in the province, after only Just For Laughs Northwest) is a joint venture of Fraser Valley Comedy founder Yo Trieu and producer Harry Doupe.
