Election Issue – Mentally Ill and Homeless Support – But Do We Care? (VIDEO)

Fraser Valley – The timing was not lost on us at FVN. On the heels of Thanksgiving, and the latest announcement that pre-1974 survivors who were incarcerated at the notorious Woodlands Institute in New Westminster (which was Provincially operated) would receive compensation, comes a reminder.

Mental health issues won’t go away. Homeless issues won’t go away.

The day after the Thanksgiving long weekend, a well known homeless man in Chilliwack was having a meltdown. Local security were called…..still waiting for them to respond.

People walking past simply ignored the situation.

His name is Homeless Frank and he is a fixture in the ‘hood… and he was having a meltdown.

The video is just a subtle reminder to those running for Mayor and Council anywhere in the Fraser Valley.

Please don’t pay lip service to the issue.
