Chilliwack Fire Crews Busy With Two Wednesday Blazes

Chilliwack – Two fires on Wednesday kept Chilliwack Fire on their toes.

Around Noon, on the 46000 block of Prairie Central Road, crews dealt with a structure fire in a work shop bay. The fire was accidental however, one person was taken to hospital. He was working on a vehicle at the time of the fire.

About 45 minutes later on the 4500 block of Ashwell, crews were hailed to a structure fire. When crews arrived, one person was trying to put out the exterior fire himself. This minor fire is considered accidental although Chilliwack Fire has put out the caution of using flames as a way to cut down vegetation.
