Peter Lang Running For Chilliwack School Trustee

Chilliwack – Peter Lang has thrown his hat into the ring as he is running for Chilliwack School Board.

The Municipal Election is October 20.

Lang is running on the slate to improve classroom size, indigenous issues/culture, as well as mental wellness awareness. Lang is also known as the father of his late son Nick, who died in government care. The young Nick Lang was in a provincially-funded drug rehabilitation program for only six days when he died in June 2015 in Campbell River. Lang tried and failed to successfully sue the Provincial government for negligence. Peter relocated to Chilliwack during the troubling times with his late son.

Lang’s Facebook page states:

I am running for School Board Trustee in Chilliwack, SD33. I’m running because I dont want another generation of students to suffer in over-crowded classrooms and fewer supports or services, like the 12 years prior to the big Supreme Court win. I will listen to the experts, such as teachers, support staff, and students, as well as the people raising those students. I want to improve the school life for our Youth so we develop the very best citizens and leaders of tomorrow. I am passionate about indigenous issues/culture, as well as mental wellness. These are both extremely important issues in our schools today.

Stay tuned to this page for a fundraiser or two. We need donations if we are going to get this done. Like and share widely, even if you are not from Chilliwack! If you are from Chilliwack, please consider giving me, and the other progressive candidates for Trustee, your vote.
