Rhonda Pauls Seeking Third Term As Abbotsford School Trustee

Abbotsford – Rhonda Pauls will seek a third term as an Abbotsford School Trustee in the October 20th municipal election.

Pauls was first elected to the board of education in 2011 after many years as district parent advisory chair. Her 13 years experience in the district (6 years serving on the DPAC board and 7 years as a board of education trustee) together with her experience as a parent of 6 Abbotsford public school graduates, has only solidified her commitment to serving this community.

“Abbotsford is one of – if not the best – school districts in this province” Pauls says, “We have such rich and diverse learning opportunities for all students from K-12, and our focus on early learning, excellence in teaching and fiscal responsibility ensures that we are constantly striving for improvement and innovation in all we do. The level of parent and community engagement we have in Abbotsford inspires me to serve our students whole-heartedly”.

As a commissioner on the parks, recreation and culture commission for the last 7 years, she is an advocate for youth programming in the community and its accessibility for students. She is also involved at the local, provincial and national levels in program development for youth and sport officials mentorship and education programs.

Pauls has served on the Abbotsford Parks, Recreation and Culture Commission for the last 7 years, has served as chair of the Abbotsford School District’s Finance and Facilities for 4 years, and served 2 years as Vice-chair and one year as Chair of the Board of Education. Her commitment to Integrity, Accountability, Respect and Collaboration guide her in the role of trustee as well as a community member.
