Ride To Conquer Cancer In Valley- August 25 & 26 – Shortened Due To Wildfires, Smoke

Chilliwack/Vancouver – AUGUST 24 UPDATE – The Ride to Conquer Cancer, presented by Wheaton Precious Metals, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation announced a change in the day 2 route of The Ride.

The 10th Annual Ride to Conquer Cancer will no longer finish in Hope on Sunday, August 26.

The NEW finish line will be at Heritage Park in Chilliwack. Riders, supporters and the community are encouraged to check the event Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages often to receive our most current event updates, including an updated route map for day 2.

The route change is due to the ongoing Mt Hicks wildfire. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is unable to route onto Highway 7 and finish in Hope. This decision was made in consultation with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and Wildfire Services BC to prioritize access for fire and emergency crews and importantly for the safety of our riders, volunteers, crew and staff.

While Riders will not finish in Hope this weekend, the Ride to Conquer Cancer is looking forward to our 2019 finish line in the District. Our sincere gratitude goes to the District of Hope and community for your commitment to the Ride and to the people of British Columbia who are currently facing cancer.
