Driediger Farms Market Remains Open After Sunday Fire

Langley – Langley Fire crews are still assessing the damage after an early Sunday morning fire at Driediger Farms Market.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation but it started in an area called “the fresh plant”.

That’s where they typically pack fresh blueberries, which is on the mezzanine close to where there is an electrical panel.

Owner Rhonda Driedigertold FVN: I think we can salvage most of the equipment. Rest of building okay. Damage to mezzanine and lunch room. Lots of clean up to do. Market is open!

On the Market’s Facebook page, she posted:

To all our customers, you may have seen the news this morning that one of our production buildings caught fire during the night. We want to let everyone know that no one was injured and emergency crews were there quickly to help put the fire out. Thank you for your concern!

The market will be open as usual from 8-6pm and strawberry U-pick will be open from 8-5pm. We have fresh 10lb raspberry flats available, 1 for $37 or 2 for $65 👍 we will have fresh 12lb strawberry flats available today as well for $36.
