Abbotsford – Each year in June, there are two occasions to celebrate the rich culture, heritage and stories of a wide variety of people groups in Canada and around the world. On World Refugee Day (June 20), the MCC Mennonite Central Committee, commemorate the strength, courage and perseverance of refugees.
On National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21), the MCC celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis in Canada.
On Saturday, June 23 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, join in at Mill Lake Park in Abbotsford for We are Neigbours, to celebrate the rich culture, heritage and stories of Indigenous Peoples and newcomers to Canada, and join in creating new memories together as a community.
