Chilliwack – On Tuesday March 20, police officers from IMPACT, BC’s Auto Crime Team were working in Chilliwack looking for stolen vehicles and known suspects.
A red Honda, which queries found to have been reported stolen earlier the same day, was seen driving in the area of Corbould Street in Chilliwack.
The driver and vehicle were placed under surveillance by the team, until the driver could be safely arrested. During the course of the arrest investigators noted significant damage to the steering column, the ignition and the passenger side door handle.
Charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Break-in Instruments is 20-year-old Kao Daniel Macaulay, a Chilliwack resident, who is well known to police. Macaulay appeared in Chilliwack Provincial Court on March 21, 2018.
