Abbotsford – Abbotsford City Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Sparanese as City Manager for the City of Abbotsford effective March 26, 2018.
Abbotsford Mayor Henry Braun made the announcement on Tuesday.
Sparanese will be responsible for the management of the City of Abbotsford’s $260 million budget and more than 1,000 employees.
In taking on the position of City Manager for Abbotsford, Sparanese bring s with hi m more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in local, regional and provincial government environments, including the past 3 years as General Manager ofEngineering and Regional Utilities with the City of Abbotsford.
He has an extensive background in all facets of municipal and region governance and has a demonstrated track record in providing leadership in achieving Council’s goals and objectives.
