Chilliwack RCMP Investigating Back Country Shootings

Chilliwack –  Chilliwack RCMP need your help with the investigation into a pair of back country shooting incidents.

The investigation follows two reports made to the RCMP on the morning of Sunday December 10th by campers who told police their vehicles were shot at during the night.

General Duty officers supported by the Lower Mainland Forensic Identification Section attended sites at the Fish Hatchery and Tamihi Bridge along Chilliwack Lake Road where a thorough examination of a victim’s vehicle was conducted at each scene by police.

Police are canvassing nearby campsites of these off road destinations for witnesses.

RCMP are urging anyone with any information regarding these incidents to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or, should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
