Fraser Valley – The Fall radio ratings are out and the Rogers radio stations rule the roost in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Numeris conducts ratings in the Valley and unlike major markets like Vancouver, ratings are only conducted once a year (in the fall) and they use the old school system of an on line diary.
In major markets, a PPM or personal people meter is used and ratings are done four times a year.
The stations and numbers reflect only the local stations.
In Abbotsford
Country 107.1 has an 8.3% share in the Central area. Country 107.1 is owned by Rogers.
Praise 106 in Lynden, Washington has a 7.3% share.
In Chilliwack
98.3 Star FM has a 21.5% share.
107.5/92.5 KISS FM has a 6.2% share. (KISS is known as a spill station. It is licensed to Chilliwack but has three transmitters and serve Vancouver, Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
Both Star and KISS are owned by Rogers.
89.5 The Drive does not subscribe to Numeris.

Central (Ctrl) Market Area
– A Numeris defined geographical area, usually centred around one urban centre. The definition of a Central Market Area generally corresponds to Statistics Canada Census Metropolitan Areas, Census Agglomeration, Cities, Counties, Census Divisions or Regional Districts. Share
– Within the central market area, the estimated total hours tuned to that station expressed as a percentage of total hours tuned to all radio.
Central (Ctrl) Reach
– The estimated number of different people, within the central market area, who tuned to that station for at least one quarter hour during the week. Full Coverage (FC) Reach
– The estimated number of different people, anywhere in Canada, who tuned to that station for at least one quarter hour during the week.
