Township Of Langley – Canada 150 Celebration – Fall Concert Series Continues

Langley – Musical entertainment for the whole family will be offered this autumn, as the Township of Langley continues to mark our country’s special milestone.

A Fall Concert Series in celebration of Canada 150 will be held at the Chief Sepass Theatre at 9096 Trattle Street in Fort Langley. The monthly concerts, which will spotlight a variety of performers, follow the Township’s Summer Concert Series which was held throughout July and August to commemorate our nation’s sesquicentennial at the newly built amphitheatre in Willoughby Community Park.

“These live events were such a great success, we wanted to continue the opportunity to showcase our amazing array of local talent and bring the community together in honour of Canada’s special birthday,” said Peter Tulumello, the Township of Langley’s Director of Arts, Culture, and Community Initiatives.

Langley Township’s Fall Concert Series starts Saturday, October 14, at 7:00pm, with Langley Ukulele Celebrates Canada 150. Tickets for the performance by the Langley Ukulele Ensemble are $10 for children and seniors, or $20 dollars for adults, and can be purchased at langleyukes.com.

The series continues with The Beauty Shop Dolls, Wednesday, November 15, when a vintage vocal trio takes the stage at 7:00pm to present music from the 1920s, ‘30s, and ‘40s. The concert is free, but registration is required. Register at recexpress.tol.ca and use course barcode 535644.

The Christmas Variety Show will complete the concert series on Sunday, December 3, at 2:00pm. Guests can celebrate the season with a lineup of local talent that includes Rachel Button, The Kwerks,

Portraits of Us – Jason and Anna Ratzlaff Duo, and Kellie Haines – ventriloquist and family entertainer, along with her special guests. The concert is free, but registration is required. Register at recexpress.tol.ca, and use course barcode 535645.
