Fraser Valley – Bike to Work Week runs this week, May 29-June 4. Participants can register at www.biketowork.ca and if they choose their bike for transportation (over their vehicle), and they log the km’s that they ride, they are entered into a prize draw. Kick-off Bike to Work & School Week and join us for FREE bike mechanics, bring proof that you’ve done the free registration for Project 529 Garage and get your Shield FREE (this day only), FREE snacks, enter the Celebration Station Prize draw for the Green Cruiser (photo above) sponsored by Pedal Sport, and of course lots of FUN!!! Vancity will be there with their “toss game,” (when the player gets the bag into one of the holes there are prizes to be won) players can also be entered to win $10,000 or a VIP experience to see the show Uninterrupted this summer!
Wednesday, May 31, 7-8 am, Bike to Work & School with Chilliwack Mayor & Council – Bike Ride ends at the FVRD Celebration Station (below)
Join Chilliwack Mayor Sharon Gaetz & Council on a bike ride through Chilliwack and get some exercise on your way to work! The bike ride will have several meet-up locations where people can join the ride. This is a great opportunity for less experienced cyclists to gain more experience in a group setting.

The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is hosting a Celebration Station 7:30-9:00 am on May 31 in partnership with Pedal Sport, the City of Chilliwack and the Fire Department. Join us for:
- FREE breakfast sandwiches from Chilliwack Fire Department, fruit from Produce Gone Wild and coffee from Clearbrook Coffee;
- Register for Project 529 Garage and get your shield;
- Enter the Celebration Station Prize draw for a Green Cruiser sponsored by Pedal Sport;
- Enter the City of Chilliwack’s Green Commuter Challenge bike draw sponsored by Jack’s Cycle and the City; and
- Lots of FUN celebrating with Star 98.3 FM on location!!!
