Abbotsford Police – Shots Ring Out At Beaver Street House Party

Abbotsford -825AM UPDATE FROM APD – Friday night at 11:50 pm, the Abbotsford Police received a call alerting them to possible shots fired at a large house party in the 2300 block of Beaver Street.

APD Patrol Officers attended the area and observed large groups of people leaving the area. Officers located two injured males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds; BC Ambulance Service transported the two males to hospital. Subsequent to police arrival, two more victims arrived at the hospital with injuries from this party; one male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and the other with blunt force trauma injuries. All four males remain in hospital receiving treatment for their injuries.

APD Patrol Division officers continue to conduct interviews, neighborhood canvasses and continue to search the area to locate any persons or possible vehicles that may have been involved. The motive for this incident is unclear at this time.

The Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department has assumed this investigation and continues to investigate. APD Forensic Identification officers continued to collect forensic and video evidence.

730 AM ORIGINAL STORY – Shots and mayhem for four young men in their 20’s.

This after Abbotsford Police responded to a shooting around midnight Friday night/Saturday morning, at a house party in the 2300 block of Beaver Street.

APD were called to a reported shooting at a large house party.

Abbotsford Police Sgt. Judy Bird says two men in the 20’s were found, both with gunshot wounds.

Another two men, again in the 20’s, showed up at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. One with gun shot wounds, the other with blunt force trauma related injuries.

All four men are bring treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is still early but it is believed that the drama was related to something that went on during the house party.

Police have recovered a firearm.
