Chilliwack SAR Rescuing 3 In Tent City Along Chilliwack River

Chilliwack – With the fast melt of the snow and ice, and add to that the Pineapple Express of warm rain, the river system surrounding Chilliwack are in a fast flow.

The Provincial River Forecast Centre has told communities to beware of the fast water.

On Thursday, Chilliwack SAR and the RCMP has to help out three people in a tent city (on a gravel bar), upstream from the Vedder Crossing Bridge and across from the Salmon Ridge Trail.

Ironically, just the day before, FVN took these shots of the fast moving river.
