Abbotsford Police – Open Letter To Parents Of Gangsters And Wannabe’s

Abbotsford – The Townline Hill Conflict has been an ongoing concern and a top public safety priority for the Abbotsford Police Department since 2014. We have dedicated a wide array of resources to suppressing the incidents of violence, engaging in prevention initiatives, expanding partnerships with citizens impacted and informing the larger community about the challenges created by this conflict. A primary objective for the APD throughout all of these efforts is to provide accurate information about the conflict to both those involved and those affected by it.

The APD has been addressing the conflict from a variety of angles, whether it involved the deployment of security cameras into the area, public meetings or having overt and covert teams of officers from APD and CFSEU continually engaged in work specific to the conflict.

Recently, Chief Bob Rich authored a letter to the parents of the young men involved in the conflict. The letter is an earnest attempt to change the direction of the conflict and the lives of those involved. APD are sharing this letter with the media and the public with the hope that it again informs citizens on what the APD is doing and becomes a catalyst for others to be part of the positive change that is so desperately needed.
