Fraser Valley Salvation Army – Christmas Kettles Hit The Streets Friday

Fraser Valley – This Friday, a tradition returns.

The iconic red kettles re5turn to the streets of Chilliwack and Abbotsford on Friday, November 18th as Christmas Kettle volunteers will begin ringing the bells at 13 separate locations across the city of Chilliwack.

The Salvation Army will be looking to fill approximately 3800 hours with volunteers in two-hour kettle shifts throughout the pre-Christmas season.

In Chilliwack – these volunteers are needed in order to meet the 2016 goal of raising $160,000 in Chilliwack in their biggest fundraising effort of the year. The funds all stay in Chilliwack, and will assist with the ongoing needs of The Salvation Army Food Bank, Family Services, Soup Kitchen, clothing and household vouchers, emergency services, Homeless Outreach and housing assistance, and more.

The campaign starts on November 18th and will run Monday thru Saturday until December 24th.
