FVRD To Receive $1M+ From Clean Water And Wastewater Fund

Fraser Valley/Ottawa – The Government of Canada announced on Friday, it is providing $225,067,721 for projects under the new Clean Water and Wastewater Fund to rehabilitate and improve community water and wastewater systems across the Province of British Columbia. Combined with provincial, municipal and other contributions, $450,135,442 will provide B.C. families with clean and reliable water and wastewater services. The federal government is providing up to 50 percent of this funding.

Out of 35 approved projects, the FVRD was awarded funding for three submissions with a total value of $1,029,187. These include:

Electoral Area B – Dogwood Valley Water System Upgrade – $99,762

Electoral Area D – Integrated Water System Upgrade – $106,250

Electoral Area E – Baker Trails Estate Wastewater Treatment System Replacement – $823,175
