Chef Daniel At Party In The Park

Chilliwack – The youngest of four, Daniel Alexander’s birthplace of ANGOLA, a Portugal colonized nation, has known that being a chef was in his blood.

Moving to Canada at the young age of 22, he carved out his career in Vancouver, by working at some of the finest restaurants around town including Il Guardino, FADO’s and the Hyatt Hotel, then went on to pursue his own dream of establishments in Vancouver. His first efforts, included an ice cream venue on Victoria Drive, however since then, Chefe Daniel has refined his style to cover not only his Portuguese influences, but also to encompass the European flair of Italian, French and Spanish.

He then went on to open other establishments; Navigator in New Westminster, Little Rooster in Vancouver, followed by his launching of Senior Rooster which not only provided superb cuisine but also dancing for his guests who were entertained well into the wee hours.

Upon selling Senior Rooster, he opened Chefe Daniel in Vancouver (Kingsway and Nanaimo).

Chefe Daniel relocated his establishment to Surrey last November and is situated at the corner of King George Boulevard and 80th Avenue where he proudly displays his own name and rite of passage.

The newly opened restaurant can host private events in their banquet room for up to 60 people (including dance floor) as well as smaller more intimate gatherings in the private room downstairs for up to 28 people or 20 people boardroom style.

Arriving in Canada in 1984, Chefe has been making his mark in the culinary field for years and has recently built his own food truck that will service not only the special events that occur throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, but in addition, he will be reaching out to the burgeoning film industry to provide catering on set.

This coming week, Chefe Daniel will be cooking up some culinary magic at the CHILLIWACK PARTY IN THE PARK, on Friday July 15th.

Here you can dine on his BBQ specialties such as chicken or pork which have been marinated with his own recipes and which are available for sale to the public under the CHEFE DANIEL brand. Piri Piri, Jalepeno, BBQ as well as his Mango & Ginger Sauce, are just several of his home made sauces he uses to infuse his specialties.

He’ll be offering up such delights as previously mentioned, however Chefe Daniel cannot sit on his laurels, and his most recently inspired PORTUGUESE POUTINE blends a unique combination of Mozza, Asiago, Parmesan and cheese curds that will melt in your mouth.

A father of four children himself, he finds moments to reflect and strategize and ensure that the future of his family, is first and foremost and that many BBQ’s are in their future.
