Abbotsford Male Charged With Luring 14 Year Old

Abbotsford – The Abbotsford Police Department Major Crime Unit received information that an adult male posted an online advertisement targeting young teenaged girls for a sexual purpose. After repeated communications, the man requested to meet in Abbotsford, for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with a person who he thought was 14 years of age.

Robert Geisbrecht, a 47-year-old Mission resident, was observed loitering in the vicinity of the agreed meeting place and identified as the subject of the investigation. He was arrested by Major Crime Detectives and has now been charged with Luring a Child.

This is a reminder to parents to be aware of your child’s online activities and who they are communicating with. Please keep track of your children’s friends and their whereabouts at all times.

The Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department is continuing this investigation. There was no immediate risk to children during this on-going investigation.
