Chilliwack, BC – Jordan Kawaguchi scored twice and added an assist in a 7-2 win over the visiting Surrey Eagles Friday night.
The win was the fourth straight for the Chiefs who improved their record to 10-5-1-2. The Chiefs crept within two points of the Mainland Division leading Wenatchee Wild who dropped a 3-2 decision in Prince George.
Four Chiefs recorded two points Friday night. Jesse Lansdell, Connor McCarthy, Kohen Olischefski, and Ryan Roseboom each had a goal and an assist while Darien Craighead chipped in with two assists. Kale Kane also scored for the Chiefs who held period leads of 2-1 and 4-1.
Paul McAvoy and John Wesley replied for the Eagles who saw their record fall to 4-13-0-0.
Matteo Esposito made 13 saves for the Chiefs who outshot the Eagles 39-15.
The Chiefs are back in action Friday November 6 when they host the Langley Rivermen. Game time is 7pm.
