Cultus Lake, BC – This weekend is the Cultus Lake Clean Up , Coordinated by Pure Life Paddle Boards.
Saturday, October 17 at 10:00am at Main Beach Boat Rentals.
It’s that time of year again! Our lake has been put to work over the last few months giving us countless new memories and experiences. It’s time to give back, put in a little effort and tidy up our lake and shoreline.
If you’ve ever been a part of a Pure Life event then you are well aware this won’t be an all work and no play kind of event. Bring your wetsuit or drysuit and there’s sure to be all sorts of shenanigans while we clean.
The Game Plan:
Meet at Main Beach Boat Rentals for 10am to divide up into groups (based on the number of participants). Working from here, paddle both the east and west shorelines grabbing anything that shouldn’t belong in our lake.
Reconvene back at Main Beach for photo ops and garbage disposal (and possible inflatable shenanigans) around 12:30pm. Then get dried off and changed to head up to Lakeside Beach Club for some lunch and beverages ($10 lunch menu launches Sept. 25th!).
Who is invited? Anyone and everyone who has paddled, swam, boated, or floated in Cultus this season. We’d like to keep this to a non-motorized clean-up so please bring your paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, rowboats, bathtubs, etc. to take part.
If you find yourself without such a watercraft, send me a message as I’m sure we can remedy that!
This is happening rain or shine as the garbage needs to be removed and the immersion gear will keep us all warm. Please share this event as I’m sure there are loads of people who would like to come and take part in the fun, but just need to know about it.
