APD Involved With Big Brothers and Sisters “Heroes Program”

Abbotsford, BC – From July 22-24, 2015, the Abbotsford Police Department and Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service will partner with Big Brothers and Sisters to provide a Heroes Program for children aged 7-15. The majority of these children are on the waiting list with Big Brothers and Sisters and this initiative allows them to have positive interactions with adult role models and to participate in a variety of fun activities.

The Abbotsford Police Community Policing Office will act as home base for the program but most of the activities will take place outdoors in parks and at other destination locations in the Fraser Valley.
