Chilliwack RCMP Need Help On Suspects In Corner Store Robbery

Chilliwack BC –  RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in the robbery of a local business.

On Thursday morning ( July 9, 2015,  5:15 a.m.) two men wearing disguises to cover their faces, entered a convenience store in the 46900 block of Yale Road and allegedly threatened to ‘spray’ an employee before demanding cash from the till. The suspects reportedly ran away from the store with stolen cash.

General Duty officers supported by the Integrated Police Dog Section immediately responded to the robbery complaint and after conducting a thorough search of the area did not locate the suspects.

The suspects are described to police as a male wearing a white hat, black hoody, and jeans and a second male wearing a blue hat, black jeans, red hoody, and running shoes.

“Our General Investigation Support Team continues to follow all investigational leads to apprehend the persons responsible for this robbery. We are also looking at whether the suspects attempted to enter another convenience store just prior to the robbery”, said Cpl. Mike Rail.

Anyone with any information of this event is asked to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or, should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 FREE (TIPS).
