Abbotsford – 37 Stolen Vehicles In 12 Days

Abbotsford, BC – In the period from May 1 to May 12, 2015, thirty-seven vehicles were stolen in Abbotsford. The vast majority of those vehicles was over ten years old and did not have an immobilizer or anti-theft device.

Many of the vehicles were stolen from West Abbotsford and almost a quarter of the total were stolen on a single day (May 12, 2015).

The Abbotsford Police Department will be out at various locations in Abbotsford providing free anti-theft devices to owners of pre-2002 Honda vehicles and pick-up trucks. In addition, registered owners of those eligible vehicles can also attend our Community Policing Office at unit 105 – 34194 Marshall Road to obtain one.
